The Betis bandwagon rolls back into Seville tomorrow when Pepe Mel's men take on second-from-bottom club Sabadell (kick off 6pm). As they were our first opponents of the season that means we've reached the half-way point - and second place, just three points behind leaders Las Palmas, is obviously a lot better than we might have expected at one stage.
We're also nearing the end of the January transfer window, and the count so far is one in - Portillo, from Málaga - and two out: striker Chuli, who's gone to Leganés on loan, and central defender Damien Perquis, who's been released from his contract. A replacement for Perquis is the only likely new arrival next week, as although Bruno and Jordi Figueras are currently performing miracles at the back, it'd be very risky to rely on them continuing to do so over the next four months.
