  • Real Betis raise Dani Ceballos release clause following rumoured Arsenal interest

Real Betis have raised the release clause for promising midfielder Dani Ceballos from €3 million to €12 million.

18-year-old Dani Ceballos is one of the most promising young talents in Spain and following rumoured interest from some of the top clubs in Europe, including the most recent club Arsenal, Real Betis have chosen to raise his release clause €9 million, according to AS.

However, the raising of his release clause is independant of the on-going contract renewal negotiations that have lasted for several weeks.

Real Betis is keen to lock the player down to a new deal as soon as possible as his performance in Spain’s U-19 Euro win has raised plenty of eyebrows and garnered interest from the top clubs in Europe, who are always on the lookout for top Spanish talent at a bargain rate.

Ceballos will join the club as they continue their pre-season campaign in Germany, as Pepe Mel’s side continue to prepare for their return to La Liga this coming August.
